The revolution will not be televised, it'll be fought online. Brink is a new multiplayer team based shooter from the developers behind the more recent Doom, Quake and Wolfenstein games. It's set in a floating city known as the Ark during an uprising and you can play as a citizen or a revolutionary. Whether you're trying to break out of the Ark or quashing the revolution, Brink looks worthy of HD.

The class based combat system rewards players who revive each other, share ammo and basically work together. Curiously almost all of the content is accessible from the get-go and it doesn't like long to work through the game's eight maps. Brink is really a mishmash of Halo, Team Fortress and Battlefield 1942. There's challenges, experience points, four different classes and yada, yada, yada...it's hard to play Brink for more than half an hour without feeling like this is something we've played before, many times.

It's looks good, it's just not very compelling.
