With all the hype around the NES and SNES Classics, it was really only a matter of time before Sony jumped on the bandwagon.

Self-described as "a miniature recreation of the original PlayStation, preloaded with 20 of the best titles from a game-changing era," the Classic is full of nostalgia and going to be a must-have for anyone who grew up with one in the '90s.

As for the games, only five have been announced so far but we're getting (the holy grail of PS1 games) 'Final Fantasy VII', 'TEKKEN 3', 'R4: Ridge Racer Type 4', 'Jumping Flash!', and 'Wild Arms', with Sony promising to reveal the rest soon.

If they don't include a 'Tomb Raider', 'Metal Gear Solid', a 'Crash Bandicoot' or 'Tony Hawk', we'll riot.

45% smaller than the original, the Classic is pretty much a carbon copy of Nintendo's work on the NES and SNES, coming with recreations of the original controllers (of which you'll get two), a HDMI port for your TV/display, and a USB port for power.

And of course it's launching just in time for Christmas, arriving on December 3rd for the not exactly cheap price of €99.99, and will no doubt be just as hard to get as Nintendo's consoles were so if it's on your own Christmas wish-list or that of someone you know, get pre-ordering now.
