A group of passionate Gaeilgeoirí started out creating a mod for the game 'Among Us' - Úna-Minh Kavanagh, Cormac Cinnsealach, Brian C. Mac Giolla Mhuire, and Mike Drinkwater.

But when they approached the developers of the game, they managed to get it recognised as an official in-game language. Which means that Irish gamers can now play the entire game online with their friends through Irish.

We caught up with Úna-Minh for a chat about why it's important for games to represent the Irish language.

"It's really important because games give people an enjoyable way to learn a language and that modern and fresh things are being created by people like us", says Úna-Minh. "As well as that, it's just brilliant to see it on such a massive platform."
