Superchunk are an American indie rock band from North Carolina, formed in 1989. They helped define the local music scene in the 1990s and became a leading force in indie rock. The line-up includes Mac McCaughan Jim Wilbur Laura Ballance and Laura King. Known for their fast energetic sound and strong DIY ethic, the band built a loyal following.
