Aesynth, an exciting four-day festival of events celebrating the phenomenon of synaesthesia through live music, art, discussions and film, is due to take place from February 7th to 10th at In-spire Galerie in Dublin. Curated by violinist Siobhán Doyle and artist Jane Mackay, it will feature an exhibition of paintings based on string quartet works by Mendelssohn and Britten, performances of these works by the Lir String Quartet, film sessions with award-winning film-maker and science communicator Tay Aziz, and a discussion panel with some of the leading researchers in the fields of music and psychology.
