Ireland’s biggest and best celebration of horror returns to the newly refurbished IFI with a programme including over 30 new films, all receiving their Irish premieres at the festival. Alongside titles from directors such as Lucky McKee and former festival guest Richard Stanley, this year’s line-up includes documentaries on topics such as the place of A Nightmare on Elm Street 2 in LGBTQ+ cinema. New Irish work is presented in Paddy Murphy’s The Perished, and Meat Cute, a short by Zoe Kavanagh (Demon Hunter). We are also delighted to present a new short film in 70mm, and welcome the return of the ever-popular Surprise Film and the Short Film Showcase. With features from countries such as Venezuela, Thailand, Russia, and Israel, this year’s programme is sure to contain something to thrill and chill horror fans of all tribes.
