Riverdance will return home to Dublin for its summer run at the Gaiety Theatre next week. Each summer Riverdance supports a different charity partner and this year the charity partner will be the Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association (IMNDA). The main event of the partnership takes place on Thursday 20th June when a 12-hour Riverdanceathon will take place in front of the Gaiety Theatre. This marathon dance session featuring cast members from the show and over 400 young Irish dancers, aims to raise awareness and much-needed funds for the work of the IMNDA. Composed by Bill Whelan, produced by Moya Doherty and directed by John McColgan, the original stage spectacular Riverdance has travelled the world for 24 years performing over 11,500 times to a live audience of over 25 million people throughout 47 countries across 6 continents.
