For five days and five nights from the 16th-20th September, Clonakilty is set to transform into Guitartown – a place where world class performances, spontaneous sessions, workshops and chance encounters with friends, old and new, spill onto the streets, venues, pubs and even a butcher shop or two... The 2026 edition of this cherished festival marks its 22nd conquest in the wild and untamed landscape of West Cork. This September, a global cavalcade of musicians from the US, the UK and an eclectic mix of far-flung corners, will descend upon Guitartown like a band of nomadic troubadours, each ready to unleash a veritable cornucopia of musical talent. This years’ artists include Paul Brady, DUG, Leah Song, The Wran, John Spillane, Bill Shanley, Cliffords, and many more.
