In this one-woman comedy show, Zocorro recalls the memorable year she entered the Rose of Tralee, creating the biggest scandal in the history of the competition!

Zocorro is a Spanish testosterone-fuelled Nanny who dreams of becoming the next Rose of Tralee. She tackles the giants of nannying Foxrock children, hospitals, leprechauns and Ryanair. She will sacrifice love and bare whatever is necessary to achieve her goal: to be crowned the Rose of Tralee, and win the keys to the Volvo that come with it. Following a sell out premiere in the 2009 ABSOLUT Fringe and the prestigious Bewley’s Award Nomination for Best Show, “Zocorro Rose of Tralee” has delighted audiences at many different venues around the country with a special performance for the Rose of Tralee audiences in Tralee (August 2010).

Writer/Performer, Leonor Bethencourt, performs regularly in the Dublin stand-up comedy and theatre circuits. She was semi-finalist at the 2007 ‘So You Think You’re Funny?’ Channel 4 Competition in Edinburgh.
