The Linen Hall Library debuts its inaugural Writers on Writers Festival, the first of what is to become an annual event to run from May 12 - 15th. Top Northern Ireland writing and acting talent including Dan Gordon, Martin Lynch, Sinéad Morrissey and Glenn Patterson will gather to lead workshops and discuss and debate past Belfast writers who have significantly contributed to the body of work produced by this great city.

 

The four-day event, scheduled to take place during the Library’s Founders’ Week (the Library was formed on 13 May 1788), will comprise of a selection of free events including workshops and discussions. The festival concludes with a debate on how we should honour Belfast literati.

 

Complementing the Festival will be an art display by Helen Heron featuring work inspired by Seamus Heaney and Michael Longley.
