The most laid back festival of the summer season, The Westport Festival of Music & Food, has added laughter to the lineup. Top Irish comedians David McSavage, Kevin McGahern, Fred Cooke, John Colleary and Christiane O’Mahony will all perform in the comedy tent at the two day boutique festival.

Other folk set to tickle funny bones are Rich Hall, Terry Alderton, Ardal O'Hanlon, Karl Spain, Foil Arms & Hog and Comedy Club 4 Kids with Howard Read (& Little Howard CBBC) and Tiernan Douieb.

Amazing acts playing the Westport Festival on the music front are international superstar Byran Adams, David Gray, Sinead O’Connor, Kool & The Gang, Bell X1, The Divine Comedy, Sophie Ellis Bextor, The Jim Jones Revue, The Overtones and many more, with more still to be announced.

Representing the food side of things in the Food & Wine Magazine Village will be Rachel Allen, Clodagh McKenna, Neven Maguire and Darina Allen with Ross Lewis (Chapter One), Derry Clarke (L’Ecrivain), Noel McMeel (Lough Erne Resort), Seamus Commons (Knockranny House, Westport) and Frankie Mallon (An Port Mor, Westport.)

As well as all that, the Westport Festival of Music & Food which takes place Saturday, June 28th and Sunday, June 29th, is 100% family friendly - there will be loads of activities and events for kids to enjoy.
