West Waterford Festival of Food, Dungarvan is a mecca for food lovers and fun seekers.

From April 10th - 13th foodies will gather from near and far to sample top-quality food, splendid drink and can meet like-minded people. This amazing weekend of demos, discussions and dining of all kind caters to anyone and everyone.

The beautiful seaside town on Dungarvan is the ideal location for visitors to enjoy the jam,-packed programme. This year, there is is special strand running throughout the weekend as the Festival honours Pioneering Women in Irish Food.

For example, one of this year’s Town Hall demonstrations will pay tribute to the iconic and influential Myrtle Allen on Saturday from 11am - 12.30pm. Another highlight is the showcase A New Generation Emerges with Darina Allen introducing visitors to the new generation of women in Irish food with each preparing their favourite dishes including Maria Raferty from Zuni, Gráinne O’Keefe from Pichet, Kate Lawlor from Fenn’s Quay, Caitlin Ruth from Deasy’s in Clonakilty, Aoife Noonan from Guilbauds and Jessica Murphy from Kai in Galway.

As always, local restaurants are huge backers of the Waterford Festival of Food and this year is no different. The hugely popular Restaurant Trails return, bringing exclusive festival menus and signature dishes to visitors - and there's loads, loads more to see and do besides.
