An annual celebration of new music in Waterford, presented by Garter Lane Arts Centre and Waterford Institute of Technology

The theme of this year's festival is 'new music - new audiences' and new work from over 30 composers will be performed by over 100 musicians. Waterford New Music Week has been exposing unsuspecting ears and minds to the new, the different and the infrequently heard for the last 14 years.

The festival will include free workshops with Lyricfm composer in residence - Linda Buckley - in Christ Church Cathedral, and children's workshops with Dabbledoo Music in the Central Library. There will be free lunchtime recitals from Monday to Friday, a silent film night with live music in Garter Lane and a recital by the Vanbrugh Quartet.
