The Virginia Pumpkin Festival is back and with a bigger and better event schedule than any other year. Now in its fourth year, the festival is expected to attract up to 20,000 people to the quaint Cavan town to celebrate the pumpkin season.
This fun festival has something for all ages to enjoy. Ireland’s largest fancy dress party, the renowned pumpkin weigh-in featuring Europe’s largest pumpkin and a spectacular street theatre musical, The Pumpkin Bites Back on Friday 22nd and Sunday 24th October are just some of the festivities taking place on the banks of Lough Ramor.
Festival goers will also be able to experience one of the most intimate performances from Meteor award winner, Imelda May with only 2,000 gig tickets up for grabs. Imelda will take to the stage on Saturday, October 23rd for what promises to be a very special performance.
