Women's Aid, with support from the Light House Cinema, is very excited to present Violence against Women 365 International Poster Exhibition, curated by Colm Dempsey. The exhibition consists of over 400 public awareness posters from around the world which address the global issue of violence against women. It has been used by groups around the world as an educational tool and public awareness initiative. The posters in the exhibition focus on a wide range of issues from domestic violence to sex trafficking, and community responses. One previous viewer noted that, "I first saw the exhibition in Belfast and was absolutely bowled over by it. The breadth of material is incredible and I got a real sense of a world wide issue and a world wide response. It was also great to see how other countries have tackled the issue which can inform our own practice...I cannot rate it highly enough." This exhibition of public awareness posters from Ireland and around the world highlights the stark reality of violence against women. It also highlights the vital support that's available to women and the positive ways communities work together to address violence against women.

Warning: This is a powerful visual exhibition, and contains graphic images of violence against women. Please contact Women’s Aid if you need support in relation to the issues raised in the exhibition.
