Urban Coup is hosting a series of live art works aiming to re-imagine and inject life into the city landscape.

Four live art pieces will take place in Temple Bar, St. Stephen's Green and surrounding areas on Friday, March 28, that are using the urban landscape as their platform and the public as an integral part of their piece.

Urban Coup, an emerging group of arts managers studying BA in Arts Management in IADT, have curated an urban take-over of Dublin expected to surprise the public. Artists include duo InAHatCat (Jean Smith and Alex Stanek) from Belfast, PatrÄ›cia MÄ?lo, Leah Smith and duo Magda Karol and Ruth Flynn, who will travel to perform their specific pieces for this event.

The event will run from 2 - 4pm kicking off and finishing in Temple Bar Square, with all the artists performing within the streets of Temple Bar and Leah Smith in St. Stephen's Green. A map of the pieces will be available from the Urban Coup Facebook page and flyers distributed on the day.

Urban Coup set out to find emerging artists that were interested in visually enhancing the streets of Dublin, and the result will be on March 28 where life and colour will be injected into parts of the city. There is no barrier between the public and the artist; the pieces are playful that can be observed or participated in.
