Back by popular demand from its run at ABSOLUT Fringe 2012, Moonfish Theatre Company’s Tromluí Phinocchio is the perfect theatre show for all the family – it’s immersive, fun, and bilingual.

‘Pinocchio – A Nightmare’ shines a dark light on the famous story, centering around a teenage boy who feels trapped between childhood and adulthood, living in a world alongside talking animals, fairies and ghosts.

It’s rare for a show to hook you straight from the start. Rarer still does it keep you enamoured throughout. -**** The Irish Times

'There’s lessons to be learned in this modern fable: be grateful for what you've got and reach out and touch someone. This bi-lingual production posed no barriers and was cleverly scripted to reach a large demographic, indeed, the matinee audience were predominantly adults who laughed and “gasped” in all the right places. One for theatre lovers young and old.'*****- theJournal.ie

This bilingual production is intended to make Irish accessible to learners as well as fluent speakers. Running in the breathtaking newly refurbished Main Theatre at Smock Alley Theatre 1662, Tromluí Phinocchio will delight adult and child alike.

Moonfish Theatre is based in Galway and the company has been creating and adapting work for years. The company uses shadow work, live music, dance and more in their innovative pieces and these creative tools are used in ‘Tromluí Phinocchio’.
