Puccini's masterwork Tosca will be staged at the National Concert Hall on May 17th, 18th and 20th to mark Lyric Opera's 20th anniversary.

Accompanied once again by the RTÉ Concert Orchestra under the baton of David Angus, Music Director of Boston Lyric Opera, Lyric Opera presents this dramatic new production of Tosca with an incredible international cast headed by famed English soprano Naomi Harvey as the titular character. Joining her are American tenor Michael Wade Lee as Cavaradossi and Iranian baritone Anooshah Golesorkhi as Scarpia.

As well as that, The Palestrina Choir, from Dublin’s Pro-Cathedral, appear as the Lyric Opera chorus.

Lyric Opera was formed by Vivian Coates in Kilkenny in 1994 to open Irish audiences to the wonderful world of popular opera. Since then, it's stellar reputation has been sealed with over 50 opera productions that have been fully staged in Dublin, as well as with successful tours to Wexford, Belfast and the UK.

Tosca is not deemed one of the greats for nothing. It represents the best of opera - with drama, passion and glorious music, not to mention the unforgettable ending - and this production, proudly presented by Lyric Opera, will undoubtedly be a show not to be missed.
