Sovereign's Cup Sailing Regatta is the second largest sailing event in Ireland in 2013, attracting in excess of 100 boats and 1,200 sailors from all over Ireland, the UK and mainland Europe. A four day festival of sailing, Sovereign's Cup will celebrate its tenth anniversary in 2013, something which Kinsale Yacht Club is extremely proud of. The event has something for everyone. Afloat, the sailing is both competitive and fun, while ashore there is a festive, arty atmosphere over the four day regatta.

The gourmet capital of Ireland, the historic town of Kinsale is an ideal setting for this national sailing event. Over the course of Sovereign's Cup its narrow streets, bars, cafes and restaurants will be a buzzing hive of activity as sailors gather to socialise and enjoy the many amenities which town has to offer.

On the waters, Kinsale, with the majestic Old Head peninsula jutting South into the Atlantic, offers ideal sheltered sailing conditions for competitors. The rugged West Cork Coast line completes what is the ideal venue for a gathering of sailors in 2013.
