Now in its second year and taking place July 18th to 20th in Castlewellan, Co. Down, The Soma Festival presents a line-up of Irish and international folk musicians, story-tellers, family events (and those for the grown ups too!)
Whether listening to Cara Dillon in concert or the Olllam firing up the crowd, or visiting the farmers' market for a great weekend out, come along and join in the beautiful surroundings that Castlewellan has to offer. This festival is inspired by the heritage of Castlewellan and includes an exhibitions, walks, talks, family events, céilí, masterclasses and great music!
It is part of a Heritage Lottery Funded Project in partnership with Down District Council and Castlewellan Futures to explore the community's heritage. Castlewellan Show is also on in the Forest Park on Saturday 19th so you can enjoy a great weekend in Castlewellan! The vast majority of events are free.
