Step back in time on 30 September for a screening of the iconic 1980s dance movie Dirty Dancing in Dublin’s The Sugar Club.
In the summer of 1963, innocent 17-year-old Baby (Jennifer Grey) vacations with her parents at a Catskill's resort. One evening she is drawn to the staff quarters by stirring music. There she meets Johnny Castle (Patrick Swayze), the hotel dance instructor, who is as experienced as Baby is naive. Baby becomes infatuated with the smooth, handsome dancer and when his dance partner gets into trouble Baby steps into as his dance partner against her parents’ wishes.
Drink “merenge” cocktails and join Baby and Johnny in a fun-filled screening of this 1980s dance classic, where swinging your hips like a young Patrick Swayze to the Ronettes, Frankie Valli, The Contours, Otis Redding and The Shirellesis encouraged and absolutely no one will be put in the corner.
Doors 7.30pm, themed trailers and funny videos from 8.15pm and screening 8.30pm.
