Details of Ireland's hottest music event have been revealed, as Hot Press is presenting a series of the hottest live acts, music workshops, seminars and all manner of fun and activities in the RDS on 4th and 5th October. Some of the artists set to appear include The Blizzards, Republic of Loose, The Coronas, Cathy Davey, Ham Sandwich and Fionn Regan. As well as that eclectic mix of Irish musical luminaries, there will also be a host of fun and games to keep you occupied whilst the bands are setting up! You can, for example, test your singing skills against some of Ireland's top performers in the "Can You Hold Ireland's Longest Note" contest, or take part in a debate with some of the finest producers and studio engineers in the country. You will also have a chance to workshop some of your own musical talents with the likes of Henry McCullough (Wings), Fiacha O'Braonáin (Hothouse Flowers) and classical guitar virtuoso John Feeley. If you like bleeps, buzzes and clicks in your music, however, perhaps the Turntablism and Scratching workshop with DJ Tu-Ki would be more up your street. A must for casual fans and musicphiles alike, come experience the music at The Music Show and get a taste of how music in Ireland and around the globe will shape up over the coming decade. Be sure to check www.hotpress.com and www.themusicshow.ie for further updates and announcements. Single day tickets are €10, weekend tickets are €15.
