The Dublin Dance Festival celebrates a remarkable ten years in 2014 with a very special 10th Festival extravaganza that will take place from May 20 - 31 across various Dublin venues.

An incredible line-up has been revealed with highlights including Still Current, a new work by one of the world’s leading dance creators, Sadler's Wells Associate Artist Russell Maliphant and Bodies in Urban Spaces, a unique urban trail that combines complex choreography and architecture by global phenomenon Cie. Willi Dorner.

Acts from near and far will be taking to the many stages and platforms throughout the twelve day festival run, with Catalan Sonia Sánchez pushing the limits of the traditional flamenco form, French artist Clément Dazin bringing audiences on a poetic journey using a mix of dance and juggling, Swedish choreographer Örjan Andersson who will showcase a stunning tableaux inspired by Baroque painting and our relationship with nature and many more besides.

Irish choreographers will naturally feature, with seven premiering new works during the Festival. Pan Pan Theatre and Arcane Collective will explore the works of Beckett, Fishamble will chronicle a blossoming romance in Swing, John Scott’s IMDT and ponydance will also feature and Emma Martin Dance will open the Festival with the ambitious and exciting Tundra. Festival-goers will also get the chance of a first look at Liv O’Donoghue’s new work Hear me sing my song.

Festival Director, Julia Carruthers, says, "In this important landmark 10th Dublin Dance Festival, we celebrate dance and our achievements with an ambitious range of quality choices. Artistic treasures from home and abroad have been handpicked to make sure we’ll be celebrating this significant moment for dance in Dublin in real style."
