Starting out working in the studio in the late 90s Linus Eklow, AKA Style of Eye, began to develop his unique style of music with releases and remixes on such prolific labels as Classic Recordings, Tiny Sticks and Rabid Records - to name just a few and more recently he been churning out releases for Claude VonStroke's Dirtybird and John Dahlbäck's Pickadoll label. His understanding of electronic music goes far beyond stereotyped production methods, as you’d expect from someone who cites influences as diverse as Stevie Wonder, nineteenth century classical composer Edvard Grieg, and Yello. Style of Eye isn't keen to be pigeonholed. His moniker comes from a desire to put everything out under one name, regardless of what it sounds like. As a DJ Linus lays down electrish bleeps, hysteric synths, raw percussions, big mouthed basses and soulful chords, all of which will ensure another big night for the regulars of Curved Street. Transmission increases its house music quotient slightly this October when Style of Eye visits the large but cosy confines of the Button Factory on Saturday October 2nd.
