The St. Patrick's Day Pipe Band Festival is one of the biggest occasions of the year on the Island of Achill. The villages of Achill have strong traditions when it comes to pipe bands and St. Patrick's day is the perfect opportunity to showcase their talent. Starting around 8am and continuing until 5pm the pipe bands will march for the day, followed by entertainment throughout the evening in may of the local pubs and hotels.
