A new exhibition, and first solo exhibition by artist Tony O'Connor, opens at the NSC Campus, Mahon Point on 15th September and will run until the end of October. Spirit of the Horse is a series of works devoted to all things equestrian. O'Connor, a 6th generation blacksmith and current power tools salesman, has said that there's something about horses that is just in his blood and he spends countless hours perfecting the craft of painting them. This is time well spent, as the artist's painstaking effort throughout the years comes across on the canvas. This is well worth checking out if you're a racing/show-jumping fan, or even if you're interested in supporting indigenous up and coming artistic talent in Ireland. Sher(gar), you'd be a fool to miss this so don't fall at the first hurdle and make attending this exhibition your mane priority. Just don't stirrup any trouble!
