For one day only on Sunday December 14th, Smock Alley Theatre will open its doors for a spellbinding seasonal celebration with a little of something for everyone.

The first ever Smock Alley Christmas Fayre will see the theatre’s spectacular Banquet Hall brimming with festive market stalls selling everything from crafts and jewellery to clothing and books, the perfect place to find that last minute gift or to treat yourself to a mince pie, mulled wine and other homemade goodies.

Occupying a central position at the heart of Temple Bar’s Old City area, the Christmas Fayre is a rare opportunity for Smock Alley to join forces with neighbouring shops and the Designer Mart on Cow’s Lane, unfailingly bustling outside its back doors each and every Saturday.

There will be plenty to occupy younger members of the family too, with readings by lamplight on the hour and screenings of festive film favourites in the theatre’s Main Space.

‘The Muppet Christmas Carol’ and ‘It’s A Wonderful Life’ will be screening, and there’ll even be a visit from Santa Claus himself, who’ll be dropping in to say hello to all the kids who’ve been nice this year. All this will be set to a sparkling seasonal soundtrack with a selection of Christmas songs and carols performed by Smock Alley’s ensemble-in-residence, Tonnta Music.

So if you feel like getting in the Christmas spirit this weekend, why not try heading down to Temple Bar this weekend, and we've even gone and wrote out a schedule for you:
