Sligo Summer Festival is a celebration of Music, Sport and Culture featuring live open air music concerts, soapbox derby, street performances, a 10km Lough Gill swim abd much more. Best of all, it's free.

There will be a state of the art stage built especially for the event in Stephen Street Car Park in the centre of Sligo town for a festival concert which will take place from 6pm - 11pm on Friday 9th and Saturday 10th of August 2013. The event will feature national as well as local acts including Ryan Sheridan, The Original Rudeboys, Kíla, The Quakers, Dean Gurrie, Sharon Shannon & The Big Band, Mundy, The Raggamuffins and Tabby.

As well as the music there will be street celebrations and other activities including family fun events, a soapbox derby and a Ball Race down The Mall, a 10k Lough Gill swim, a busking competition, street performers and lots more.

Sligo races will also take place on august 7th and 8th (ladies day) adding even more to the Sligo Summer Festival 2013.
