An odyssey of pain, blood, love and loss, this one act play explores the lives of a brother and sister who are trying to make sense of their dysfunctional childhood. The siblings both lie about their past, creating elaborate stories about their lives and leaving the audience lost in a foggy haze of doubt. Which of the gruesome stories may contain a hint of truth? The plays central narrative concentrates around the brother, Michael, who finds a starved and partially dead baby in a garbage dump. He names the baby Debris and tries to raise the child with help from his sister, in secret from their alcoholic father. This is a charged, energetic, highly entertaining yet dramatically disturbing production of Dennis Kelly's renowned play.
