Ireland’s greatest Rock ‘n Blues Guitarist Rory Gallagher will be celebrated in the town of his birth Ballyshannon, Co. Donegal with the award winning 4 day Rory Gallagher International Tribute Festival between Thursday 28th May and Sunday 31st May 2015. Over 10,000 fans from over 30 different countries will converge on Ballyshannon for the Festival in Rory’s honour with 30 acts performing on 15 stages over the 4 days. The Festival will be quite Special this year as it marks the 20th Anniversary of the sad passing of the Late Rory Gallagher.
Among the acts already announced to perform at the Festival Big Top are WILKO JOHNSON & HIS BAND featuring Wilko Johnson, Norman Watt-Roy & Dylan Howe, also BAND OF FRIEND'S featuring Rory Gallagher’s former band members will be among , with Rory’s long serving bass player Gerry McAvoy, drummer Ted McKenna and Marcel Scherpenzeel (Holland) on lead guitar and vocals with "The Band of Friends".
Uli Jon Roth, one-time guitarist with the German band Scorpions, will make his first appearence on Irish shores since 1998.

Rory Gallagher International Tribute Festival has won many admirers for its chilled-out vibe, with the small streets of Ballyshannon packed to capacity with the Festival’s popular Open Air Street Concerts, featuring many of the Festival top acts. There are Guitar workshops, films and talks, and at night the Pub session trail is to the beat of the blues and Rory Gallagher, while hundreds will pack into the Festival Big to sample 3 nights of Rory, Rock ‘n Blues with the weekend Big Top Concerts all-in for just €50 (for all 3 nights)
