Riverfest 2014 kicks off its 10th Anniversary over the May Bank Holiday weekend with a whole new series of events including popular favourites: a huge BBQ competition, fireworks, kids' street entertainment, fashion events and lots more! A festival favourite, the Riverfest BBQ will fire up at 11am on Saturday, 3 May on Denmark Street, Market Quarter. See up to 100 teams take part in this fun event and try out some free samples of delectable treats! Lighting up the skies of Limerick will be Riverfest's spectacular fireworks display on Saturday, 5 May. Thousands will gather on the bridges around the River Shannon to celebrate Riverfest 2014. Take a trip down memory lane and relive the 50's with The Riverfest Soapbox Derby when Denmark Street is transformed into a racetrack. The race will see the street filled with 'homemade' soapbox cars! So get your measuring tapes and toolboxes out and dare to enter. Enjoy a taste of fashion in Limerick's Riverfest 2014 boutique heaven which will kick off in style with Fashion Friday.
