Red Lola is a surreal journey into the realm of the subconscious, fusing elements of puppetry, physical, and object theatre - part fairy tale, part morality play, Red Lola is a tale of seduction, power, puberty, love, lust and lollipops. Red Lola just left grandma's house and strayed right off the path. Red Lola is not a little girl anymore. Red Lola lives in a land where pre-teenage girls wear Playboy tee-shirts and every male is a potential sexual predator, where premature sexuality and the fear of 'stranger danger' colide. Red Lola is an unconventional play presented by Asylum Productions and is playing as part of the Cork Midsummer Festival of the Senses. Tickets range from €15 to €11 and are available from the Triskel Arts Centre box office.
