The first ever Rathmines Tradfest will take place over 4 nights from Thursday 11 September to Sunday 14 September. Billed as '4 great nights in 4 great pubs' the Tradfest will feature over a dozen live traditional band performances as well as informal and impromptu 'open mike' sessions.
Some of the live acts confirmed so far include: All Folk'd Up, Sugan, Rebel Hearts, Arís Arún, Kickin Bird, Jen Mitchell, Na Fianna, The Buggy Boys, Lasair and Lynda Lucas & the Wayfaring Cowboys. Best of all there will be FREE ADMISSION to all these events with no cover charges whatsoever applying at each venue.
The participating venues are all within a 100 metre catchment in the lively Upper Rathmines area and include some famous watering holes; Rody Bolands, Slatterys, Mother Reillys and Graces.
