The Portmagee Sea Shanty & Pirates Weekend promises a great weekend of music, pirates and all things nautical. Featuring performances by international sea shanty groups, informal bar sessions, a street parade of pirates and pipers alongwith activities for all the family.
The festival is hosted by Captain Magee after whom the village was named. There will be activities for all the family on a nautical and smuggling theme (whatever the weather) - including kids treasure hunt, fancy dress parade, pirate ship rides, face painting etc. - and of course lots of music in the bars with outside sessions (weather permitting).
