The Phil Murphy Weekend is recognised as the best weekend of trad and folk music in the Co Wexford cultural calendar. Taking place in Carrig-on-Bannow from 24th - 27th July, 2014, guests can expect four days filled with concerts, workshops, sessions, historical tours, ceilis, a road race and childrens' entertainment.

Big names are taking part this year including Brendan Begley, Mairtín O'Connor, Donal Lunny, Róisín Elsafty, Len Graham and Brian Ó hAirt, Donal Clany and Ged Foley. As always, local brother Paddy & Phil Berry will be there to sing the songs of Wexford while brothers (and organisers) John and Pip Murphy will show off their combined virtuosity on the harmonica.

Two highlights to look out for: Waterford band Newfoundland and the American/Irish folk trio of Gary Ferguson, Colin Henry and Janet Holmes. And, finally, the curved ball at this year's festival is John B Keane's The Matchmaker starring Anne Charleston and Jon Kenny.
