This June Bank Holiday Weekend the 2nd and 3rd, Millstreet Country Park offers a jam packed, fun filled, Outdoor Adventure Festival that is sure to be enjoyed by kids of all ages. Set against the magnificent backdrop of the Musheramore Mountains, this 500-acre park is the perfect setting for an Irish wildlife play-day.

Activities kick off at 2pm on both the Sunday and Monday with a Family Bug Hunt, using sweep nets, beating trays and pooters, young and old adventurers can go hunting for little critters in the woodland undergrowth. Millstreets’ resident ecologist Lorna O’Mahony will be on hand to highlight exciting finds and fascinating facts. Other activities include a spirited duck race down the stream, a wildlife arts and crafts area, bouncing castle, live music in the gardens and a scrummy barbecue. All aboard the Safari Bus Tours with Tadgh from 4pm, as intrepid explorers journey into the wild to catch a glimpse of the wild woodland creatures and the baby red deer en route.
