The official Prodigy Afterparty takes place at The Good Bits on Store Street this Friday December 18th with Neil Landstrumm, Lief Ryan, Sunil Sharpe and Nathan Jones. A fixture of the UK electronic music scene since 1994, Neil Landstrumm has released work on many of the most recognised labels in the industry including Peacefrog, Tresor, Scandinavia (his own imprint) and arguably the UK's greatest electronic label of recent years, Planet Mu. His first album for Mu entitled "Restaurant of Assassins" saw him hijacking varied influences from techno, dubstep, garage and breaks as well as vintage 90s rave and Sheffield bleep. The success of Restaurant's ravestep sound led Neil onto a string of sessions for the BBC, a main feature on the German "Slices" DVD and relentless live tour dates all throughout 2009. Founder of Growth Recordings, an independent techno label based in Wales, Lief Ryan's live performances are gaining him ever-increased recognition, with a twisted, wonky techno/electro style. This is Lief's debut in Ireland and is sure to be one to remember! Meanwhile in Room 2, there'll be an Old School set from Jay Grogan & Simon F and an Acid House set from Paul Allen. Advance tickets are €12 from from https://www.eventelephant.com/prodigyafterparty or €15 on the door. Doors 10pm.
