Dublin's monthly dose of nostalgia returns to the Academy 2 this May with a DJ set from Neosupervital! Yes, the man who brought you 'Rachel' and 'Dance With You' and banged the drums for Bell X1 will be be providing a fantastically kitsch 80s-loving set! This one-man electro-pop outfit has been playlist on MTV2; he's supported everyone from The Human League to Peter Hook. Not unknown on the festival circuit, he's played the likes of Oxegen, Castlepalooza and Electric Picnic. He has been busy touring the globe and 2010 has already seen the electro-popmeister take in shows in Ireland, UK, Germany and Canada, not to mention completion of the album Battery Power! Neosupervital makes Neosuperpop for dancing and other related activities, so, you can expect a fulfilling and dance-inducing experience from his DJ set! Resident DJs Sinead DeLorean (FM104, ex Phantom FM) & DJ Serena Sloane (ex Phantom FM) will also be on hand, playing all the best in kitsch, fromage and shameful hits from the 80s that you know you love alongside more recent dancefloor new rave fillers and indie/pop handbag hits. Doors open at 11pm with free admission until 11.30pm, €2.50 until midnight and €5 after.
