‘Stewart's practice is inspired by the interrelations between drawing and sculpture. She explores the themes of order, repetition, materiality and systematic approaches in relation to artistic production. Both the drawing and sculptural installation practices heavily influence each other.

In this exhibition, Stewart will show a series of drawings that explore the infinite realm of pattern and light through a combination of coloured, intricate, fine straight lines. The compulsive repetitiveness of each individual straight line forms grid-like patterns and reflects the artists’ actions and processes. The use of colour can be seen as an emotional medium adding depth to the compact multitude of lines that make up the grids and blocks.

This is an unticketed free event.
