Listowel Writers’ Week: 29th May - 2nd June 2013

Foynes Irish Coffee Festival: 31st May - 2nd June 2013
Irish Coffee, one of the world's most famous drinks, was invented in Foynes Airport by Chef Joe Sheirdan in 1943.The Foynes Irish Coffee Festival celebrates this event with three days of wonderful open air free entertainment to suit all ages. Read more.

Doonbeg Jazz Festival: 31st may - 3rd June 2013
As part of The Gathering celebrations this year, The Doonbeg International Jazz Festival is delighted to welcome old friends and new to enjoy a Jazz packed weekend of fun in Doonbeg. With a full programme of performances and a children’s musical fun day, there is something to suit everyone. This year the festival will feature excellent bands from Germany (Jazzonanz) and The Netherlands (NLX) as well as some of Irelands finest; Ace Minsky, The Downtown Jazz Band, Jazztalk, Zigani, Skazz, Jazzlite and The Corner Quartet. Ocean to City Maritime Festival: June 1st - 10th 2013
The 2013 week-long Ocean to City Maritime festival aims to be bigger and more spectacular than ever with special emphasis on traditional boats and boat building from Celtic countries in the UK and Europe. The opening event on the June Bank Holiday weekend will be the third Cork Harbour Summer School which will explore boat-building and maritime links with Celtic countries through the lens of Cork Harbour. Rory Gallagher International Tribute Festival: 30th May - 2nd June 2013
The 12th Rory Gallagher International Tribute Festival takes place in Ballyshannon, Co. Donegal between Thursday 30th May and Sunday 2nd June, and the organisers of the award winning festival are pleased to announce that Rory's Band Members will be appearing among the stellar classic rock 'n blues line-up.
 
‘The Band of Friends’ featuring Gerry McAvoy and Ted McKenna as well as ‘Nine Below Zero’ featuring Brendan O'Neill and Mark Feltham - all former Rory Gallagher Band members will be appearing. Also lead guitarist with 'Wishbone Ash' - Andy Powell will perform with Ex. ‘Mama's Boy's’ Guitarist - Pat McManus and His Band, from Germany ‘The Loop’, from Holland ‘Laundromat’, also the renowned Johnny Gallagher and Boxtie, Dave McHugh Band (Dublin) and top tribute from Manchester ‘Sinnerboy’.
