Mary From Dungloe 46th International Festival is a very successful festival that runs from July 27th - August 5th 2013. The festival started 45 years ago in 1967 and it got its name from the re-release of that beautiful old balled of the same name; 'Mary From Dungloe'.
The festivals aim is to promote community spirit and also promote cultural relations from all over the world. Over the past 45 years, hundreds of young women have entered the prestigious festival hoping to gain the title of the 'Mary from Dungloe'. Today many accomplished young women will travel with their families and friends to Dungloe to attend this event. We have Marys from all over Ireland, the UK and the USA.
Over the course of the festival there are many brilliant events planned for all the family from fun days, to races of all types and abilities and some of the best music acts in the country to date.
