The fourth Mantua Lives Festival will be held in Ballinagare, Co.Roscommon from the 1st - 3rd of August this year. From its humble beginnings, Mantua has grown in size and reputation quickly with its blend of top underground music, party atmosphere and great bang for its buck. This year's main stage sees some excellent visitors from afar, including the sublime Icelandic electronic act, Múm. The Rootical reggae stage this year has the honor of bringing to Irish shores some of the UK and Jamaica's finest exponents of roots and culture. From London city, Festus Coxsone has been running since the late 60s and was inspiration to the likes of Jah Shaka. There will be two new stages this year, the Dionysus stage promises to offer the best of Irish and UK underground music, ranging from ragin', retro rockabilly; cutting edge, experimental, riff-churning beat-combos to outright insanity, and the Low End arena hosted by !Kaboogie, Reach and Wobble will feature sets from the best Irish DJs and Producers rolling out ruffneck jungle to the heaviest blistering breakcore to the deepest in dub explorations providing bass music for your head and for your feet. The festival takes place from the 1st to the 3rd of August.
