The four day MacDermott Clan Gathering will take place as part of the Gathering Ireland 2013 celebrations. Boyle is renowned for connections to The MacDermot Clan, with the last such Clan gathering taking place in Boyle in 2007. Planned events will include boat tours, guided tours, talks, re-enactment and a concert. This is an ideal opportunity to invite the MacDermott diaspora back to the area.
