St. Patrick's Festival in Longford is brought to you by Longford Chamber of Commerce with retail, family and literary elements spanning the 3 days.

This 3 day festival takes place in Longford Town and this year's theme is 'Longford - Rich in Heritage'. The festival includes retail, family and literary events. The Best Shop Window Display Texting competition kick starts events on 16th March, with the parade taking place on 17th March at 12.30pm. This colourful event showcases the best in Longford and is a fun filled event for all to enjoy. Inflatables and music on The Square after the parade will add to the occasion, so don't miss it.

On Monday 18th March, Black Olive Restaurant on Ballymahon Street hosts a special lunch called 'Literary Treasures of Longford' which will celebrate the works of Goldsmith, Edgeworth and other notable writers/poets from County Longford. Professional tenor, Paul Hennessy accompanied by Paul Gurney, will sing at this event also for all to enjoy. Tickets €35.
