It has just been announced that one of Ireland's most popular bands of the past few years Little Green Cars will play the Roisin Dubh stage at Westport Festival of Music & Food.

Little Green Cars have been all over the radio with their three hit singles The John Wayne, Harper Lee and My Love Took Me Down to the River to Silence Me. The band from Dublin are well used to the festival circuit, having played at the SXSW, Coachella , Lollapalooza in the States.

Other musical acts that have been added to the boutique festival's eclectic line-up are Dublin 'folk and roll' duo Morrissey & Marshall and Grammy awards winning band Tinariwen, Tuareg musicians from the Sahara Desert.

The Westport Festival of Music and Food takes place on Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th June in the picturesque grounds of Westport House and has gained a stellar reputation for its fun, relaxed family-friendly atmosphere. Over 70 acts will perform across five stages over the two days.

Representing the food side of things in the Food & Wine Magazine Village will be Rachel Allen, Clodagh McKenna, Neven Maguire and Darina Allen among loads other and there will be loads of activities and events for kids to enjoy.
