Eight figures from Irish public life including Senator David Norris, newsreader Aengus Mac Grianna and 2fm DJ Rick O’Shea, share their favourite poems and enjoy some banter with host Sean Rocks about what it means to them. All proceeds in aid of ISPCC Childline.
The Irish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (ISPCC) is the only organisation in Ireland providing unique 24 hour support services for children and young people through their Childline service. Childline receives no government funding, relying on the generosity of the general public, companies and schools. It costs between €6 and €7 million to maintain the services and continue to be there, 24 hours a day, for children and young people in Ireland.
This event is sponsored by Smock Alley Theatre and all proceeds raised will go to Childline.
