Two of Dublin’s best-loved nights present some of their finest contributors in this festival matinee of Music, Poetry and Comedy, while the best of new young talent is showcased in SHOUT OUT!, hosted by Colm Keegan and Tempermental MissElayneous. Nighthawks featureS poet Dave Lordan, singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Sinead White and comedian Eleanor Tiernan. Meanwhile The Monday Echo brings us an epic battle between poets and rappers -- get ready for a showdown!

Polarbear + Abby Oliveira. 8.45-10.30pm (Doors open 8.15pm)
'Hip-Hop roots combined with the day-to-day sentiment of a man trying to figure things out’. Polarbear is one of England's best known performance poets and a favourite on the Irish scene. Performances at Glastonbury, OneTaste, Electric Picnic and Jazz Café, as well as a UK tour in 2006, have built up his reputation as a storyteller for the twenty-first century. <PARA BREAK> Joining Polarbear will be the life-affirming and energetic Abby Oliveira. A performance poet based in Derry, Abby was Belfast Poetry Slam champ in 2006, finalist in the BBC4 Slam 2009, finalist in the Glastonbury Festival Poetry Slam 2009, the Ulster Slam champ in 2010, finalist in All-Ireland Slam 2010, host of the ‘Poetry and Words’ venue at the Glastonbury Festival 2010, and host of the 2011 All-Ireland Poetry Slam final.
