Riverfest 2013 showcases all that is great about Limerick City, from the best resource of the river Shannon to the music, sporting, artistic and food communities.
There will be late night bar exemptions (subject to licence) across Limerick City entertainment venues throughout the weekend, live music and theatre, fashion shows and a continental fair while street entertainers, fire eaters, jugglers and stilt walkers will provide plenty of family fun.
Highlights include The Coors Light Riverfest BBQ - a day long amateur competition featuring up to 100 chefs and lots of free samples of delectable treats! The Continental fair will feature an amazing array of delicious food and handcrafted goods while dramatic powerboat racing will take place at incredible speeds as part of a water sports display on the River Shannon! The city's pedestrianised Thomas Street will be turned into an open air catwalk with live fashion shows from the city's best boutiques and a 17 piece jazz band will round off the style inspired evening. The exciting fireworks display will light up the city skyline from King John's Castle and thousands of runners will visit the city over the weekend participating in the Great Limerick Run, why not come for the run but stay for the fun?
