Put a spring in your step and let your hair down at Kilkenny's latest festival which will burst onto the scene this March 16th and 17th. The grounds of Kilkenny Castle will be transformed into Ireland's biggest traditional music venue when the inaugural Kilkenny TradFest 2013 gets into full swing this St. Patrick's weekend.

Thousands of people will descend on the marble city to enjoy a hooley to beat all hooleys with some of the best live traditional music, song and dance led by some of Ireland's best known musicians. These include rising stars Beoga, Téada, including the legendary Séamus Begley along with a very special gig featuring Kilkenny resident Iarla Ó Lionaird who will appear with his friends, the world renowned Clare fiddle player Martin Hayes and the acclaimed American guitarist Dennis Cahill Sunday March 17th at 8pm in Set Theatre, John Street, Kilkenny.

Other highlights include: Sean Nós singing workshop with Neil Ní Chronin, Uliann Pipes/Flute Masterclasses with Harry Bradley, Fiddle classes with Anthony McCauley, Sean Nós dancing workshops with renowned Irish dancer Ger Butler, free set dancing workshops in the streets of Kilkenny and Céilí Mór on Saturday and Sunday night.
