The Kilkenny Arts Festival 2013 programme has landed and it’s looking pretty great.

Celebrating 40 years of bringing the world's top artists to Kilkenny, the Arts Festival will span a full ten days (9th - 18th August) this year with something for everyone from the greatest writers of our time to the world's leading classical virtuosi, from renowned craftmakers and designers to unparalleled street performers. There is no city like Kilkenny and there is no festival like Kilkenny Arts Festival.

2013 highlights include Divine Comedy - Neil Hannon solo at St. Canice's Cathedral, Shakespeare's Globe Theatre, Olwen Fouéré's Riverun, an extraordinary citywide visual arts project with British artist Bob and Roberta Smith, readings with Ron Rash, Kevin Barry, Colm Tóibín, Jim Carroll's Banter Salons, a rocking line-up of alternative musics at the Set Theatre, the Irish premiere of new MACNAS street show Chaosmos and a spectacular luminarium by Architects of Air (UK) at Kilkenny Castle Park.
